THE NATIONAL COLOURED CONGRESS WILL STRIVE TO ADDRESS POVERTY

National Coloured Congress we seek to unite all the historically oppressed people and those that support the cause to recognise that the people commonly known as coloured or brown people are the descendants of the First Nations and have a historic claim to live and work peacefully in South Africa.The Western Cape, Eastern Cape and the Northern Cape, where amongst other places, the colonialist settlers originally encountered the First Nations, and fully entitled to the protection and the rights as provided for by intent, purpose and purport of the South African Constitution for redress without favour.

TO ADDRESS FOOD SECURITY WITHIN COMMUNITIES

By Improving access to roads, communications and markets and opening opportunities for marginalised groups. By ensuring participation in decision making including the establishing of paid monitoring and evaluating committees to provide results and impact of social policies within the communities. By subsidising the cost of water and electricity as well as daily necessities such as bread and butter in certain locations.

By promoting and developing subsidised agricultural and fisheries activities within impoverished communities. By increasing opportunities or benefits for economic activity through talent or effort development.

TO ADDRESS INEQUALITIES WITHIN COMMUNITIES

By implementing a balanced (not equal) distribution of resources ensuring more resources are provided where needed thus narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor when it comes to living a dignified life.

By combatting fraud and corruption and directing the recovered funds to enable marginalised communities to have a stepping stone to develop themselves and afford them opportunities. By decentralisation of public services, offices and industries which will promote shared prosperity among regions by preventing regional poverty pockets.

TO EDUCATE PEOPLE REGARDING THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS

By identifying discriminatory laws or laws that generate inequalities among people or regions. Laws that do not recognise domestic labour for example as productive, or social security systems that do not provide universal access. By running awareness campaigns and the developing of social and political activists who will ensure government is kept in check.
